Case Study | Division 9

Why Did Division 9 Call Geron for Help?

Division 9, a Gesco Company, a world leader in flooring solutions, needed to update their King St. showroom in Toronto and required a new décor centre to showcase their many flooring and tile samples to the public, interior designers, and contractors. They selected Geron Associates Limited to provide them with a creative design that was also functional and had modular capabilities. Our client also required a feature in the front of the store that was artistic and modern, eye-catching to passersby.

What did Geron Propose?

Geron proposed several modular pods, moveable on castors, complete with switchable graphics and sample holders that could be easily changed as their products evolved and showcase new product offerings. These pods were tactfully located throughout the space, which allowed the sales staff to take visitors on tour in a thought-out path.

Walls sections on either end of the showroom, complete with movable panels, allowed for additional sample displays and concealed storage areas, which was at a premium at this location. A large, central display table allowed sales staff
to layout out samples for viewing.

We added TV monitors for video presentations to highlight their product and allow sales staff to tailor their content to the client’s specific project needs.

The front window area had large windows, with great pedestrian and vehicle traffic opportunities, for all to see. Geron developed large, angled displays that looked like modern art, allowing for full sheets of their stone tile products to be displayed.

What were the Results?

The project came in on time and budget. From start to finish, the project took five weeks to design, produce, and install on-site. The client held an event for their many clients and prospects which was well received by all who attended.
